AB EXERCISES

Being in Pageants it is always important to keep you figure. Especially if you are doing a pageant that inculdes swimsuit as part of the competition. So I have decided to help share some of my favorite  ab exercises. I will also in future blogs share some of my favorite other types of exercises.

The Bicycle

This works your obliques and your rectus abdominis (which is what gives you the six pack look)

Step One:
Lay on your back facing the ceiling. And put your hands behind your head.

Step Two: Bring your knees towards your chest and lift your shoulders off the ground. Do not putt on your neck to lift yourself.

Step Three: Straighten your right leg out and touch your right elbow to your left knee

Step four: Straighten your left leg out and touch your left elbow to your right knee.

Step Five: Repeat. Many people say to do about 15 reps, however, I like to do it until my abs hurt.

Regular Crunch

I also like to do a regular crunch as many times as I can. I shoot for 100 reps. Most people can't do that starting off, so do about 25. If you think its to easy, do more. If it is too hard, do less. With my regular crunch however, I like to do it a little different than most people.

When crunching up don't look at your knees. Look at the ceiling and while you are bringing your shoulders blades off the ground try and push your chest to the ceiling as well. I think it makes the regular crunch more effective.

There are many other ab exercises I do and many that I love, but I find myself doing these two the most.

Remember to stretch out your abs after each exercise.
